~ Mid-Week Mail Bag ~

It has been a Card-tastic week!  I love how a theme/trend just naturally happens, don't you?

This is a beautiful pictorial of the Jefferson Memorial and Cherry Blossom Trees in Washington DC, printed using a metallic ink/printing process.   The photo does not do this justice.

~ Mid-Week Mail Bag ~

A bounty of lovely letters arrived this past week.  Handwritten was the trend - how nice!   This week will be full with replies.  What will you be doing this upcoming week?

~ Mid-Week Mail Bag ~

The Mail Bag did not disappoint!

Laura L. at Please Deliver To posted earlier this month about her friend at Sketch Cuts  whose focus is card making.  By following the instructions on Laura's post, she would gift you with a wonderful Sketch Cut card of your choice.  I'm grateful to have received not one, but two beautiful cards and envelope seals to use.  Thanks Laura!

In addition to Laura's parcel, a bunch of wonderful letters and postcards arrived!

How did your Mail Bag brighten your week?

~ Thrifty-Thursday Finds ~

Recently, I have had good luck with stationery "finds".   More often than not, when I'm at the Thrift store on the hunt for  paper/correspondence items, the choices are slim to none.

I've always enjoy Papyrus products.  This is a complete set of 100 sheets and 50 envelopes.  They are off-white parchment sheets with deckle edges.  Price: $2.62

This was a large spiral bound note paper set of 200 sheets.  I cut the spiral off for easier access.           Price: $1.51

Set of 12 flat correspondence cards and envelopes.  Price: $.99

Set of 10 Hallmark "Postalettes" (write, fold and close with coordinating seals).  Price: $.77

Where to you go for your Thrift items?  What are your latest "finds"?

~ Mid-Week Mail Bag ~

Mail received this past week includes some lovely letters and pretty cards.
Do you tend to send cards, letters or a combination of the two, depending on the person or mood?

~ Sunday Send-Out ~

This captures part of what my Sunday consisted of.  Busily replying to a wide variety of Pals from a wide variety of places.  I find Sundays to be an optimum day to write.  At the end of the day, there is a sense of productivity and accomplishment to see a handful of sealed, stamped envelopes ready for their journey.  Far too often, I tend to think about documenting outbound correspondence only after they are in the hands of our local Postal Carrier.  What did you do today?

~ Mid-Week Mail Bag ~

Lions, Tigers, Bears and Alpacas - Oh MY!   As you will see, there is a delightfully whimsical and interesting theme this week's mail bag.  I heard from new Pals, regular Pals and long-time-no-talk-to Pals.  Needless to say, it was a very good mail week.

As with fashion, stripes and polka dots in stationery remain classics.  I'm always up for a good polka-dot.  What do you feel are the latest correspondence trends?   What stationery/note card themes are you sending these days?  What themes have landed in your mailbox lately?
