~Jammin' Man~

Oh yes, there is more than correspondence going on today!  Yes Sirree!!!  I'm elbow deep in canning fruits and making jam!  Peaches and apricots are plentiful now.  I'm being proactive and jumping on the "canning-wagon".  I usually start thinking about making jam in late August or September.  By then, I've missed out on the prime season for these fruits.  Sadly, I think I'm just a tad late for Strawberries and Blackberries.  *Sigh*  Oh well, there is always next year!

I hear from Thesnailmailer, who is busy canning cherry and black raspberry jam.  Shannah has been recently canning corn, peas, pickles and tomatoes.

  2. Yum! Canning apricots and homemade applesauce up here. We'll be making and freezing pesto soon too :)

  4. Oh, that looks great. I never canned something myself, but my grand aunt used to can elderberry jelly which was delicious.
